Samsung has begun launching the July Security patch for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus models (reviews). Updates began to appear on the Verizon operator model of this device in the US a few days ago, and have now trickled into handsets in Brazil. In the US, the July 2018 patch targets four critical Android OS vulnerabilities along with a total of nine vulnerabilities found in Samsung software. The new update released in Brazil brings the version numbers of G950FXXS3CRG1 and G955FXXS3CRG1 for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. This update not only corrects the problems mentioned earlier but also offers improvements and stability for cameras and Bluetooth. For those who might not be aware, both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus share the same internal specifications apart from their screens and batteries.

The smaller Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inch display and a 3000 mAh battery, while the larger Galaxy S8 Plus has a 6.2-inch screen and 3,500mAh battery. Both phones have received updates for Android 8.0 Oreo in most regions of the world.

In the imaging department, this smartphone offers a 12MP shooter on the back that has an f / 1.7 aperture, gives OIS and 4K video recording at 30fps. Upfront, the phone is equipped with an 8MP camera provided with f / 1.7 holes, can record 1440p video at 30fpd, and supports auto-HDR mode.

For connectivity, this phone has dual SIM support, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi dual-band 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, USB 3.1 Type-C port, and 3.5 jack mm audio. The battery capacity of 3000mAh and 3500mAh mentioned earlier from the phone supports Quick Charge 2.0 and even offers Qi or PMA wireless charging.
